Finally. I did a house that has something to do with the season we are in. I made a house celebrating spring. I wanted a very positive message on the house so I used this stamp - "Let all you do be done with Love."
I made the house using a technique Anna-Karin wrote about on her blog, Layers of Ink. Basically I did the exact same thing she did only with different colors and I glued the card stock to a Tim Holtz Tiny House. I added more handmade roses and a butterfly from Sizzix Detailed Butterfly Thinlet also from Tim Holtz. I sprayed the butterfly with Ranger Antique Bronze Mica Spray. The brick overlay is from the Sizzix Mixed Media Die #3. The blue flowers are 3 layers of one of the flower punches by Sizzix. They are supposed to look like cornflowers because I love those flowers so much.
One of these days I will take a photo class and get a real camera. I don't think the house looked good with my backgrounds. For example, some of the photos have too much greenish yellow. The butterfly photo above has the colors about right. I will continue to work on it. I should wait until daytime to take photos, but I was too impatient to get this written.
I would like to share this project with 3 challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Based on a Book. This project fits because I used a quote from 1 Corinthians on the front of the little house.
Frilly and Funkie - Welcome Spring challenge. The Spring house welcomes spring with pastel colors and the flowers and the butterfly.
A Vintage Journey - All Aboard. Because I am all aboard for encouraging positivity and love and making the world better.
Thank you for stopping by. I love comments if you want to leave one. It always makes me happy.

Oh Lucy! I really enjoyed seeing this fresh spring house! It's hard not to get in the mood to create for this beautiful season when the azaleas are in bloom all around! 🙂 Your addition of the base and beautiful flowers with the butterfly on top are all perfect details! Love this my friend! Happy spring and thank you for sharing with us at A Vintage Journey. Hugs, Autumn

Squeak! I mean squeal! Lucy, you have gone and done it again, making a lovely little abode! I adore your Halloween houses (!!!!), but this one is crazy beautiful with those spring like colors, the bricks, the butterfly and those amazing flowers! Of course, I love the cornflowers and they are one of my favorites, too. They grew as weeds back home, and unfortunately, don't grow here. Great project! Thank you for sharing it with us at A Vintage Journey! Hugs! Sara Emily
